Paris Jackson reportedly checked herself into a treatment facility for her physical and mental health.
Multiple reports say the 20-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson wanted time to “reboot” for the new year.
A source told “Entertainment Tonight,” which first reported the news, that Jackson “decided that she needed to take some time off to reboot, realign and prioritise her physical and emotional health.”
“She checked herself into a treatment facility to aid in her wellness plan and is looking forward to coming out of this revitalized and ready to tackle the exciting new projects that await her,” the source added.
Jackson often shared photos and memes to her Instagram, but abruptly stopped posting to her social media in December.
In a 2017 interview with Rolling Stone, Jackson told the magazine that she had attempted suicide on three different occasions before the age of 15 and finished her high school years at a therapeutic school.
“I was crazy. I was actually crazy,” she said. “I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help.”
Representatives for Jackson didn’t immediately respond to INSIDER’s request for comment.
