It’s no manzier (or bro, if you’d like), but a line of hosiery intended for men adopts as playful a portmanteau as the one used in Seinfeld: mantyhose.According to Bill Hutchinson of the Daily News, the fashion designer Emilio Cavallini developed these male pantyhose to cater to a growing number of men who have been buying tights.
One pair costs $27, and Cavallini said that of the million pairs of tights his company makes annually, two to three per cent of those who buy them are men.
He said that most men use the tights as long johns in cold weather, but that more men have been wearing them under shorts.
With spring on its way, we may see how popular that style really is.
