A Lot Of People Seem To Be Having Trouble Signing Up For The New Outlook.com

Microsoft unveiled its new email product, Outlook.com this afternoon to pretty good reviews.

But a lot of people who are trying to sign up for the service are hitting snags. We’ve seen multiple complaints on Twitter.

The problem seems to be with the sign up page’s CAPTCHA security box. Even though people are typing in the correct letters and numbers, Outlook is telling them they did it wrong. (This happened to us too. It took us three tries to successfully sign up for Outlook.)

A Microsoft rep tells us the CAPTCHA system seems to be working, so it’s possible new users aren’t paying attention to the capital letters in the images. If you’re signing up, make sure you input the CAPTCHA exactly as it appears on your screen.

Are you having problems too? Let us know in the comments.
