Your iPhone can book a flight, send email, take high quality pictures, pinpoint your location on a map, and give you directions to anywhere you want to go. And oh yeah, there’s games too. Here are five of our favourites from this week. Don’t sprain a thumb.
This scaled-down golf game will keep you occupied for hours before you get bored with it. The single player mode is huge, offering numerous courses full of interesting challenges. The multiplayer mode just tops it off -- play a speed round with someone over Game centre, or take turns chipping and putting with a friend by passing one device back and forth.

If Super Mario was a minigame, it would be this exciting 8-bit platformer. You can play the levels on multiple fronts -- for speed, treasure collection, or finding each level's 'secret.' This gives the game huge replay value.

This turn-based wargame lets you pit your cartoon army against the AI in single player or real people in pass-and-play mode. Don't let the childish graphics fool you -- you'll be positioning snipers, flying helicopters, and dealing animated death on a hexboard, and you'll love it.

This is something of a fantasy realised -- we remember playing this in cabinet arcades after school, and now the hack-and-slash-and-superpower experience fits in your pocket. Play as your favourite character from X-Men and kick some Sentinel arse.
It's as fun as it is adorable, and it's extremely adorable. You control a squirrel running up a tree of infinite height. Steer clear of branches to collect coins and acorns for crazy powerups like fireballs and super speed.
