The 3 plays in sports everybody will be talking about today

Good morning! Here are the plays everybody will be talking about Monday.

The Heat just had too much Whiteside and Dragic for the Hornets. The Heat won Game 7 106-73 to take their opening-round series in a game that was never close. Hassan Whiteside dominated on the defensive end and Goran Dragic exploded for 25 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Those two came together on this play, started by a Whiteside block, and completed by a Dragic spin-and-in.

It was just another weekend at Talladega. NASCAR was back at Talladega this weekend and as usual it gave us a little bit of everything and a lot of car disasters including a “Big One,” a wreck that swallowed up 21 cars. But maybe nobody had a worse day than Dale Earnhardt Jr.. Before his day eventually came to a premature end when Carl Edwards lost control and hit Junior, there was a scary incident during one of the many cautions in which his steering wheel came off and he had to momentarily steer his car by just grabbing the shaft.

Nick Rimando saved the day with his face. Real Salt Lake beat Houston Dynamo 2-1 thanks to the face of Rimando. In the 80th minute, the Dynamo had one shot clank off the post and then on the rebound, they had a point-blank shot to tie the match. But instead of finding the back of the net, Houston clanked it off of Rimando. That’s a heckuva way to win a game.

Pekka Rinne bonus. The San Jose Sharks won Game 2 of their series with the Nashville Predators 3-2, but it might have been a lot worse if not for this incredible save from Pekka, who somehow kicks away the second shot on the rebound.
