Good morning! Here are the plays everybody will be talking about Monday.
Stephen Curry even has crazy aim with a towel. The Warriors have brought the Gatorade-bath celebration to the NBA, but in smaller form. Typically it is just a cup or two filled with water. Well, after the Warriors improved to 69-8, Curry wasn’t having it, whipping a no-look, behind-the-back towel through the air, knocking the cup out of Draymond Green’s hands. Is there anything this guy can’t do? (via Alex Kennedy and Tas Melas.)
Baseball is back and the Blue Jays are still hitting home runs. The Blue Jays opened the season with a 5-3 win over the Rays. While there are questions about whether or not this team has the pitching to get back to the playoffs, there is no question about their ability to hit home runs and score runs. On Sunday, it was Troy Tulowitzki hitting the first home run of the young season.
Shane McMahon is crazy. WrestleMania 32 was on Sunday night. No matter what you think of it as a “sport,” there are two undeniable facts: 1) it is immensely popular; and 2) the wrestlers are as athletic as anybody in the more traditional sports. They are also crazy. In front of more than 100,000 fans at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, McMahon attempted to do an elbow drop on The Undertaker from the top of the cage, a drop of close to 30 feet. The Undertaker won the match, but holy cow, Shane!
The NASCAR-fan-goes-nuts bonus. Kyle Busch won the NASCAR race in Martinsville on Sunday. After the race, Busch was doing some driving at a much slower speed when he pulled up alongside a fan wearing one of his hats. Samantha Busch, Kyle’s wife, took out her phone and recorded video of the interaction when the fan realises who is next to her. It’s great.
