One Soccer Player Showed A Ton Of Class And Respect At The End Of Spain's Euro 2012 Triumph

While it may not surprise many that Mario Balotelli did not stick around to shake hands after Spain defeated Italy in the Euro 2012 Final, one player from Spain showed a lot more respect for his opponent.

With Spain up 4-0 in extra time, and the game long-decided, Spain was on yet another attack. That’s when Spain’s keeper and captain, Iker Casillas was caught on camera begging the referee to stop the game out of respect for Italy. The referee agreed and blew the final whistle.

It was a classy move that we don’t see often enough in the world of sports…
