Meet The "Old-Timer Gang", Sweden's Elderly Bank Robbers

The trial for three men aged 53, 64, and 70 for aggravated robbery started today in Sweden, in what has been dubbed the “Old-Timer Gang“, The Local reports.

The trio of men allegedly used explosives to conduct a series of robberies in southern Sweden and Denmark between 2007 and 2010.

Police confiscated weapons and a series of explosives that they say the men used to execute robberies, and got additional information via a wiretap.

In one of the wiretapped conversations, the 64-year-old allegedly talked about his dislike of the police.

“I could go into the station and shoot 30 of them. I really hate them. There are way too few coppers shot in Sweden. At least 10 should be shot per month,” he reportedly said.

The Local reports that the men were winking and smiling at each other during the trial while the prosecution gave their opening statements.
