President Obama will hit an important milestone today: 100 fundraisers since announcing his re-election campaign.
And you’d never guess it, but the Republican party took notice. They’ve decided to celebrate by releasing a video that mocks the president for his astounding fundraising record.
It helpfully compares Obama’s 100 to some other numbers relating to his time in office since he declared his re-election campaign. Zero meetings with the deficit reduction super committee. 1 speech on government reform. 21 vacation days.
The message: Obama is spending too much time raising money and he’s not doing his job.
“After four years of failed policies,” the video ends, “he’ll need every penny.”
But it won’t stop Obama, who is going full speed ahead toward his quest for $1 billion. Tonight he’ll be in New York for four big fundraisers, which are expected to bring in at least $5.1 million. It will only take 7 hours, CBS reports.
The guy’s a money making machine!
