President Obama took former inmates to lunch to demonstrate the importance of second chances

Barack Obama met several people whose prison sentences were commuted. They were all released early for their nonviolent crimes, either under President Clinton, Bush, or Obama himself.

The group thought they were just having a meet-and-greet at the White House, but Obama had something better in mind.
