Following Wednesday’s general strike in Oakland, and the night of protests that followed, unconfirmed Tweets claimed police were covering their name-tags with tape to conceal their identities.
The claims went on to say that the Oakland Police were also hiding, and refusing to provide, their badge numbers. Until now these claims were unsubstantiated.
