After emphatically winning a state election in March and handing down a state budget with a $2 billion surplus, New South Wales premier Mike Baird has decided it’s time for a break with his young family, especially while his three kids are on school holidays.
The premier’s just posted the autoreply message he’s left on his email on Facebook, with a note saying “One of the best feelings in the world: activating your out-of-office email reply”.
He’s off for the rest of this week and next and taking the gang on an overseas trip.
The superwoman he’s referring to is treasurer and deputy leader Gladys Berejiklian.
