POLITICO’s Jonathan Martin reports that a settlement in of the sexual harassment cases against Herman Cain was signed by the National Restaurant Association on a symbolic date for Cain: 9/99.
Joel Bennett, the attorney for one of the women who complained about Herman Cain at the National Restaurant Association said Friday that his client’s settlement was dated in September of 1999 and signed by the trade group’s general counsel but not Cain.
Bennett’s client has yet to come forward, and the trade association has yet to approve a statement from the woman which pushes back on Cain’s claims that the charges were baseless.
