One State Where Employment Is In The Midst Of An Oil Driven Boom

If you’re looking for a really good example of where and what employment growth is happening in the U.S., look no further than North Dakota, according to University of Michigan economic professor MJ Perry.

Perry points out that the state has had an employment boom as a result of increased production of energy goods in the state.

Some facts about North Dakota’s success, from MJ Perry:

  • North Dakota hit an all time employment high in May
  • It has the lowest unemployment rate in the U.S.
  • Tax revenue is blowing past expectations
