Some units of Nokia’s flagship Windows Phone, the Lumia 900, are experiencing a glitch that causes the screen to display a purple tint. The reports have been going on for a while, and Nokia finally admitted on Twitter that the problem is caused by a software bug. CNET found the tweet.
Nokia’s tweet was in response to a Lumia owner complaining that he had gone through several units with the bug. Nokia says it has identified the problem and will issue another software update to fix it.
This isn’t the first nasty software glitch with the Lumia 900. Many users complained that the phone couldn’t connect to AT&T’s data network. That caused Nokia to quickly push out a software update and offer customers $100 off their AT&T bills.
