Nikkei Climbs Despite An Unexpected Increase In Japan's Unemployment Rate

Markets in Asia are trading higher, extending market gains in the U.S.Japan’s Nikkei is up 0.8%.

Korea’s Kospi is up 0.6%.

Australia’s S&P/ASX is up 0.6%.

Japan’s government released a ton of economic data. 

The unemployment rate unexpectedly climbed to 4.6 per cent versus economists expectation for the measure to be unchanged at 4.5 per cent. 

The CPI declined just 0.1 per cent versus the expectation for a 0.2 per cent drop. 

Household spending fell 2.3 per cent.
