Nikkei Dives Over 1% As Everyone Worries About Massive Radioactive Water Release

The Nikkei was down over 1% in overnight trading, with news about TEPCO’s dump of radiation polluted water into the Pacific Ocean dominating headlines.

Shares in auto stocks also tanked, after Toyota revealed shutdown plans for U.S. plants in the wake of quake related supply disruptions. Hitachi shares were also down more than 2%.
