The self-lacing Nike sneakers from 'Back To The Future' are real

On October 21st, 2015, the very day that Marty McFly and his friends travelled to the future in the 80s movie “Back To The Future Part II,” Nike made the cult film’s iconic self-lacing sneakers a reality.

The company announced that a limited run of Nike Air Mag sneakers will be released in Spring 2016, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation to support Parkinson’s research.

The shoes feature a power lacing system that mimics the one depicted in the movie. When Michael J. Fox tried on the first pair all he managed to say was, “That’s insane.”

Seems like the 80s movie got a lot of future predestines right.
