NICE GARRY: Nathan Lyon just took a screamer caught and bowled with his left hand

It’s day 3 of the second Ashes test and England are 6-133 after 49 overs, chasing Australia’s 8-442 and spinner Nathan Lyon’s just taken his second wicket of the day – and absolute screamer of a catch, diving across the wicket to his left after Moeen Ali spooned a leading edge back to the bowler.

Jonny Bairstow stood on the crease at the non-striker’s, helpless, watching Lyon stretch out his left hand in front of him as hope for England fades faster than Brexit negotiations.

Here’s the catch. Nice, Garry.

Even in slow-mo it’s incredible:

Lyon now has 53 wickets in nine tests, putting him just one wicket behind South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada, the leading test wicket taker in 2017.

UPDATE: A few overs later, Mitchell Starc says to Lyon “hold my beer”. Bairstow assists. England 7-141.
