The NFL Network is reporting that the current CBA between the owners and players has been extended for 24 hours.
There has not yet been an official announcement by either side, but all indications are that that the sides are making some progress. Still, there is scepticism that a deal will get done.
It’s possible that if more progress is made tomorrow, there could be another extension on top of this.
Jason LaConfora of the NFL Network believes that the league has disclosed more financial information today, which prompted the move.
The extension is pending Judge Doty’s approval, but that’s not expected to be an obstacle.
The union will not decertify tonight.
