Samsung Shows Off The Nexus Prime A Week Before It's Announced

Just a day after Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S, Samsung launched this teaser video for the Nexus Prime.

The Nexus Prime will be the first phone to run Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich, the newest version of Android. Based on the video, it looks like we’ll finally see the phone at Samsung’s big Android event on October 11. We’ll be covering it live!

In the meantime, check out the teaser below. At the end you get a side glimpse of the Prime. It looks like Samsung is sticking with the curved screen, just like the one on the Nexus S.

Samsung also added a metal band around the edge. Hopefully that gives the phone a more solid feel. (Our biggest beef with Samsung’s hardware has always been that it uses too much cheap-feeling plastic.)
