For an experienced triathlete like 36-year-old Merrill Lynch trader Timothy Fallon, the New York triathlon is old news.┬áCompeting in what will be his 8th New York Triathlon, Fallon told Bloomberg earlier today that dealing with safety-related anxiety is just part of the game: “You have to realise you’re going to get bumped and kicked,” Fallon told Bloomberg. “Nobody means you any harm, but it’s going to happen.”

Since we love when Wall Streeters do things other than, well, work on Wall Street, we figured we’d comb the internet to see what this guy is all about. Here’s what we found:

  • He’s the Director of CMO trading at Merril Lynch
  • According to his LinkedIn, Fallon graduated from Penn State in 1999 with degrees in International Business and Marketing
  • He formerly worked at Lehman Brothers and D.A. Davidson and started his career in finance through Prudential’s Securities Training Program
  • He sits on the advisory board of Americord, a cord blood bank
  • He’s competed over 75 triathlons (7 of which were the New York Triathlon)
  • He ran the New York Marathon last year
  • He is a supporter of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) and runs their triathlan to raise money for the foundation
  • According to his Facebook, his favourite movies are the Big Lebowski and Star Wars
  • And he has a really cute daughter

We’ll definitely be rooting for him in this Sunday’s race!
