PHOTOS: A Huge Party At The NYSE Hours After The Markets Crashed

The Dow may have plunged 512 points yesterday, but that didn’t stop partiers from taking over the floor of the New York Stock Exchange mere hours after the markets closed.Autism Speaks, a non-profit that raises money for autism-related research, held its third annual summer gala for young professionals at the NYSE last night and from the looks of the photos, no one seemed too concerned about their portfolios.

Vodka flowed, DJ Nick Russo spun, and of course, everyone goofed around with those telephones all over the floor. All the bankers were a few blocks away, drinking away their sorrows on Stone Street.

Guest of a Guest has been kind enough to share some pictures from their gallery of the event with us; be sure to check out the full gallery here.

August 4, 2011 -- what a day for a party at the NYSE

Still, everyone seemed in good spirits

Over 900 guests showed up

The bars were packed

The Rokk vodka flowed

No one paid much attention to the numbers blinking around the exchange

They focused on the passed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails instead

Time for a speech

This lady even got to bang the gavel

There was dancing

And lots of posing with the phones

Apparently this doesn't get old

No one looks too concerned about the market

More partygoers

Posing at the event

The martinis look good

So do the mixed drinks

Bad day, good night
