As the NBA lockout continues, players are finding different ways to save money. So the Syracuse graduate and second-year player has found a way to do that and spend quality time with his parents.
“It’s nice to get some home cooked meals up here,” Rautins told ESPN New York. “It’s nice because it’s a rare opportunity to spend time with family and friends.”
But Rautins can only spend so much time hanging out with mum and dad. Depending on the length of the lockout, he will consider pursuing a financial internship at a Manhattan firm to learn about investing and financial planning.
And with no rescheduled meetings between players and owners, today may be a good day to start.
