New York Jets coach Rex Ryan and an assistant are being investigated for purposely overthrowing a football so that it would land in the vicinity of attractive TV Azteca reporter Ines Sainz, the New York Post reports.
Jets owner Woody Johnson is clearly embarrassed.
“The New York Jets believe that reporters have a job to do and it is our obligation to provide them with proper and professional access,” the Jets said in an e-mailed statement. “(Johnson) stressed to Ines that he expects all members of the Jets organisation to conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times. We will continue to work with the league to gather the facts and take any appropriate steps necessary to maintain a respectful environment for the media.”
Sainz bills herself as “the hottest sports reporter in Mexico.”
