These scientists have engineered a new, lightweight bionic hand

Engineers at Saarland University have designed a bionic hand that could pave the way to prosthetic limbs that feel and function much more like natural ones. The design uses thin strands of nickel-titanium wire to mimic muscles and move the hand’s digits.
