Nebraska Senator Ben Nelson (D) faces an uphill battle for re-election in 2012.
The incumbent Cornhusker is trailing his Republican challengers in Nebraska polls. The latest numbers put Nelson 11 points behind State Attorney General Jon Bruning (R) and four points behind State Treasurer Don Stenberg (R).
