The extensive Batman memorabilia collection of Ben Novack Jr., the south Florida millionaire who was found murdered at a hotel in 2009, is available for auction.The collection includes a copy of DC Comics’ first Batman edition from 1940 and a 1939 comic in which “The Batman” first appeared, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Novack was also the owner of a replica Batmobile, which won’t appear in this particular sale, being held by Heritage Auctions. In total, the sale is expected to bring in more than $1 million.
Novack, whose grandfather built Miami Beach’s famed Fontainebleu Hotel, was found slain at a hotel in New York state two years ago.
His wife and her brother have pleaded not guilty to murder charges, according to the Palm Beach Post.
