“Aquaman” is about to join an exclusive club. Warner Bros.’ DC Comics superhero movie grossed $US971.5 million globally as of Wednesday, and it is expected to cross $US1 billion this weekend, according to Deadline.
Four movies hit that box-office milestone in 2018, helping to propel the worldwide box office to a record year. The global box office was expected to hit $US41.7 billion in December, largely thanks to North America, which had a record year at nearly $US12 billion.
