Motorola just announced two new Xoom tablets: The Xoom 2, and Xoom 2 Media Edition. Both will be available in Ireland and the U.K. by mid-November.No word on a U.S. release yet. A Motorola rep told us the company is focusing on the Droid Razr launch right now instead.
The Xoom 2 will be a 10.1-inch tablet and the Xoom 2 Media Edition will have a 8.2-inch screen.
Both will be Wi-Fi only devices and run Android 3.2 Honeycomb.
The tablets will also have MotoCast, the service Motorola introduced a few weeks ago that syncs all your files, photos, etc. in the cloud.
Apart from the screen size, both tablets have nearly identical specs:
- 1.2 GHz dual-core processor
- HD display that’s brighter and sharper than the original Xoom
- 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage
- Optional stylus
