In 2009, Christie's auction house sold a full-frontal photograph of the icon for a staggering $37,000,
The photograph, taken in 1979 by a student named Lee Friedlander, was shot before Madonna had reached stardom and was working primarily as a dancer.
She took the nude modelling gig to pay rent in New York City.
Madonna only received $25 total for the shoot, yet in 1985 six more images resurfaced of the shoot in Playboy magazine.
This bustier, worn during Madonna's Blonde Ambition Tour in the early 1980's, sold for a staggering $24,000, according to Live Auctioneers.
The garment designed by Jean-Paul Gaultier was quite controversial at the time and began the revolutionary trend of the cone-shaped bustier, which was adopted by later provocative female figures such as Lady Gaga.
In 2005, Christie's sold a 1994 photograph taken by Bettina Rheims, 'Madonna Laughing and Holding her Breasts' for $22,800 at a New York auction.
The photograph was auction for double the estimated selling price.
