June is coming to a close and we decided to take a look back at all the most jaw dropping purchases people made in the past month.

As usual, big spenders dropped money on all sorts of crazy items, from a jacket worn by an iconic pop artist to lunch with a famous investor.

Records were set in the realms of art, Hollywood memorabilia, and even real estate.

Someone paid $16,450 (including buyers’ premium) for a set of yellow curtains that were once owned by Patricia Kluge, ex-wife of billionaire media mogul John Kluge.

The curtains, which once hung in Kluge’s former estate in Virginia, were expected to sell for somewhere between $600 and $800. They were sold at an estate auction in mid-June.

Patricia Kluge filed for bankruptcy later in the month.”

The auction house initially expected the photo to sell for between $300,000 and $400,000.”

The rare violin was once owned by Lord Byron’s granddaughter, Lady Anne Blunt, and carries her name as the ‘Lady Blunt’ violin.”
