The most expensive college town in America is Princeton, New Jersey, home of Princeton University, according to a new set of rankings from CNBC.The town, which is located halfway between Philadelphia and New York City, is one of the oldest college towns in the country.
Homes there cost an average of $687,454, nearly twice the state average home price of $352,472.
The data comes from LendingTree, which looked at towns with at least one big college or university and a population less than 500,000.
