Markets Are Higher After A Night Of Ugly Data

Markets in Europe are modestly higher.That’s good considering what a horror show Global PMI night has been.

Readings from around the world have generally been very weak. Asia was bad, and the core economies of Europe were bad. Germany was particularly weak.

But that’s not what people are focusing on. People are only thinking about today’s Fed meeting and tomorrow’s ECB decision, where we might get concrete steps to depress peripheral yields.

So again, modest improvement across Europe and in US futures as of now.
