Last night, in that NYT article on how Morgan Stanley is trying to ward off negative rumours, there was a line about how its imminent Q3 report was going to be solid.Anyway, the bank seems to be sending more smoke signals that everything is a-ok.
According to Charlie Gasparino of Fox Biz, CEO James Gorman has been telling shareholders that things are fine AND that it would likely beat Goldman Sachs this quarter.

Morgan Stanley is in a “quiet period” but it sounds like its doing its best to get information from inside to the outside world.
Anyway, the latest leasks set off another big boom in bank stocks today. After yesterday’s 12% jump, Morgan Stanley tacked on another 4%.
