MindSumo Has A Great Way To Find Smart Hires: Make Them Solve Puzzles

Last night, MindSumo CEO Trent Hazy gave me a sneak peak of his company, which is housed at StartX, an accelerator for startups by Stanford University students.

He hopes to give businesses a better way to recruit college students. Instead of looking at resumes, companies can post challenges for students to solve. The winners get cash prizes — and in some cases a job if they stand out.

He said “The initial launch will be at Stanford, with plans to expand to Ivy League schools and the University of California system. A major bay area company is leading the challenge.”
