Back in July, after signing several big-named free agents, back-up quarterback Vince Young called the Philadelphia Eagles the newest “Dream Team.” But now, after a 1-3 start, Michael Vick is no longer sure if that moniker was such a good idea.Vick, when asked about how the team is going to approach the last 12 games, said the team is “ready to let it all hang out,” and that “the Dream Team thing if over.”
Honestly, it’s surprising it took so long for Vick to shoot the label down.
The “Dream Team” label was a little much for most sports fans when it was applied to the Miami Heat. And that group still went to the NBA Finals. Right now, the Eagles will need a strong finish just to make the playoffs.
And with the next two weeks on the road in Buffalo and Washington, followed by a five-game stretch that includes the Cowboys, Patriots, Giants, Cardinals and Bears, the Iggles may soon be labelled the “Nightmare Team.”
