Steve Hafner, CEO of Kayak Software Group, has just bought a new penthouse for $A28 million, the Wall Street Journal reported. Kayak Software Group is the parent company of the travel website Kayak.

Hafner’s new penthouse is at the top of L’Atelier in Miami Beach, and it had originally been listed for $A44 million in 2015 before being chopped to $A33 million in 2016.

While construction isn’t yet complete, renderings show that the penthouse takes up two floors and comes with a 40-foot-long pool. Take a look, below.

Units in L'Atelier start at $A4.05 million, and 87% of the units have already been sold.

The penthouse takes up the 17th and 18th floor, along with the roof.

The home has six bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

All together, there's 16,500 square feet of space.

'North Beach/Surfside is an up-and-coming area, and I think the penthouse is a good investment,' Hafner told The Wall Street Journal.

Floor-to-wall windows make up much of the home.

On the second level, views from the home lead right out onto the ocean.

There are 22-foot ceilings in the living and dining rooms.

Developers are aiming to have construction complete by late 2018.
