Melbourne Storm captain Cameron Smith has won the Dally M medal for the second time.
Smith took out the medal over Cowboys star Michael Morgan, who he will face in the grand final on the weekend, beating him by eight points.
Smith’s win this year comes 11 years after winning his first Dally M, and it wasn’t the only gong he received at the annual NRL awards at The Star in Sydney last night. He also received Captain and Hooker of the Year.
This year Smith overtook Darren Lockyer for most games and the first player to rack up 40 State of Origin matches.
It was also a great night for Smith’s club with Craig Bellamy crowned Best Coach and Billy Slater awarded Best Fullback.
