Original post: This number probably won’t rouse anyone out of their post- July 4 hangover, but this is the one econ datapoint of the day.Analysts expect the number to show a jump of 1.0% for the month vs. a decline of 1.2% in the prior month.

The number is out at 10:00. Stand by.

Update: 0.8% growth in May factory orders is just 0.8%, below the 1.0% expected.

April was revised higher a little bit, from -1.2% to -0.9%

Nothing too dramatic.

Stocks are still a little bit lower on the day.
