The prospects of a new labour deal being completed this week are looking up, but some NFL players are taking no chances. We’ve already heard that some cash-strapped members of the Philadelphia Eagles have asked rookie Brandon Graham for loans, and that one NFL wife had labour induced early so that her healthcare costs would be covered by the league.

Now, Jets’ guard Matt Slauson has decided to move back in with his parents.

The 6-5, 315 lb, 25-year-old has decided to bring his wife and baby along in an effort to save money because of the uncertainty of the 2011 season.

Slauson earned $410,000 last year.
