On a visit to the Hustler Club May 24, a Manhattan man ran up a $28,000 bar tab that he doesn’t remember (via New York Post). He claims in a new lawsuit that during the visit to the Hell’s Kitchen spot, the club served him excess alcoholic beverages to the point that he was no longer capable of conducting financial transactions, according to papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.
The suit seeks a $28,000 reimbursement as well as punitive damages for “outrageous” conduct.
This isn’t the first time that an expensive tab showed up on a patron’s credit card either. Last year, Gerard Wall, a Delaware man, said he had a 90 minute gap in his memory after having two drinks at the club. Upon regaining his memory, he found a $21,000 charge on his credit card. The case is still pending.
