The tiny state of Malta just unanimously approved a plan to expand the European Financial Stability Facility, according to maltastar.com.A positive vote was expected, despite the fact that lawmakers delayed the vote from last week to this week over questions on the size of Malta’s obligations.

The measure will raise the tiny country’s contribution to the EFSF to just over $930 million, according to Malta Today.

All focus now turns to the impoverished Slovakia, the only eurozone state which has not yet passed the plan. Slovakia’s parliament is expected to pass the bill tomorrow, although doing so could bring down the ruling coalition.
