Yesterday the New York Post reported that the maid in the Dominique Strauss-Kahn case was a prostitute, a story that has been corroborated so far by nobody else. But now the paper is back with an even more explosive bombshell, that the maid continued to see clients AFTER the arrest.
“While she was under our supervision, there were multiple ‘dates’ and encounters at the hotel on the DA’s dime,” the source said of her paid hotel room. “That’s a great deal for her. She doesn’t have to cover her expenses.”
The woman has a regular fleet of gentlemen callers who range from wealthy clients she met at the Sofitel to counterfeit-merchandise hawkers and livery-cab drivers, said sources close to the defence investigation.
According to the report, the maid has been staying at a hotel paid for by the public, and though she was under 24-hour supervision for the first two weeks after the alleged incident, starting around June 1, that changed, and she began to see “clients.”
If true, this is obviously another huge blow to her credibility. If false, it takes victim-blaming to a brand new level. It’s also worth saying again that prostitutes also get raped, and that none of this necessarily contradicts her claim to what happened in the hotel room with DSK.
Meanwhile, there’s another story in France from a guy who stayed in the infamous hotel room claiming that the maid’s version of events is impossible.
All of this points to an increased likelihood that the charges will be dropped by the DA, and that Dominique Strauss Kahn will return to France a hero.
