Mahalo Trims Staff In Wake Of Google Algorithm Change

Content-farm/how-to guide Mahalo just laid off around 10% of staff.

Founder/CEO Jason Calacanis blamed Google‘s big search algorithm change.

Mahalo apparently got  hammered by the Google search change.  Jason’s memo mentioned that revenue and traffic had taken a significant hit.

Importantly, Jason also said that Mahalo’s new business, video, is continuing to do well.

Meanwhile Associated Content founder Luke Beatty says it won’t be possible for weeks to know exactly the impact of the Google change.
