HOUSE OF THE DAY: A 600-Acre Irish Estate That's Been Price-Chopped To $65 Million

Lyons Demesne, the estate of discount airline Ryanair founder Tony Ryan, is on the market again for an around $65 million, a representative for Christie’s International Real Estate confirmed (via Curbed).The house was originally on the market in 2009 for nearly $100 million, and a year later, the price was slashed to $65 million. Even if it sells for the discounted price, it would become the most expensive home ever sold  in Ireland.

It’s rumoured that Ryan spent nearly $120 million restoring the place.

The home sits on nearly 600 acres in County Kildare.
