Lynn Tilton, founder and chief executive of private equity firm Patriarch Partners, appeared in federal court in Dallas this week on allegations that she wrongfully dismissed a former executive.Tilton, who is known for her provocative attire and outrageous jewelry, “toned down” her outfit for the court appearance.

She wasn’t exactly buttoned up, but wore a modest (though tight) black dress and leather boots with stiletto heels. She was also decked out with what appeared to be plenty of diamond jewelry. She was cool and collected, responding to questions in her low, throaty voice and rarely getting flustered.
