An Australian base jumper known as Lucky Chance lived up to his nickname recently in Australia’s Blue Mountains.
Lucky was filming a series of jumps from the “Death Swing,” which is a 90-foot rope attached to a peak. Normally he would use a parachute to make it to the ground. On his fifth jump of the day, however, his legs became tangled in the parachute and it did not fully deploy.
He isn’t sure how he survived: “Somehow, I don’t know how it came out of the bag, and I don’t know how I managed to survive.”
