People can sell their souls on eBay?
A New Mexico woman named Lori is doing just that, and bidding has already jumped from $100 to $405 in just a day.
Describing it as a “slightly used soul,” Lori is offering buyers a “Carfax” so they can see the black and white marks her soul has accumulated over the years. Religious bidders can save Lori’s soul through conversion or prayer.
Pop culture abounds with examples of people selling their souls to the devil in exchange for money, however, this doesn’t seem to be what’s motivating Lori.
After being disabled in a drunk driving accident years ago, Lori told NBC 2 that she feels like she’s “at the end of her rope” and just wants to connect with another soul.
eBay’s policy forbids users from seling human body parts or remains on its site, and the company has removed listings in the past when people tried to do so. For now, you can check out Lori’s soul auction online.
