Lolo Jones Sends A Message, Runs The Second-Fastest Time In The 100-Meter Hurdles Qualifying Heats

Lolo Jones has been taking a lot of heat, specifically from the New York Times, for not being good enough at hurdles to warrant the massive amounts of media attention she’s getting.

But this morning, she sent a message to the haters by finishing with the second-best time in the 100m hurdles qualifying heats.

She won her heat with a 12.68, which was her fastest time of the season, but .11 slower than the heavy favourite — Sally Pearson of Australia.

Lolo had been keeping things light in the weeks before the Games, but she seems way more intense now. The final of the 100m hurdles is tonight at 4pm.
